National Center for the Biotechnology Workforce
The National Center for the Biotechnology Workforce (NCBW) was created through a US Department of Labor High Growth Grant Initiative in September 2004 and operated in this capacity until September 2008.
On October 1st, 2008 the NCBW became a center of BioNetwork, a statewide Biotechnology training and educational initiative through a cooperative agreement between the US DOL, Forsyth Technical Community College and the North Carolina Community College System's BioNetwork.
In October 2012, the NCBW became the operational site for the Community College Consortium for the Biosciences Credentials initiative, funded by the US DOL under a round two TAACCCT grant.
